Practice Areas
Allen has extensive experience in a broad array of legal areas, including corporate, commercial and business law, administrative law and agricultural law, as well as taxation, residential real estate, wills, estate planning, powers of attorney and health care directives. He was a partner with Pedersen, Norman, McLeod & Todd for a decade before that firm merged with Robertson Stromberg in 2003 and continues as a partner at Robertson Stromberg Pedersen LLP.
Education
A University of Saskatchewan alumnus, Allen received his Bachelor of Science in mathematics in 1971 and his Bachelor of Laws degree in 1972. He was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1973.
Professional Involvement
Allen is a long-time member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan, Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP) and has served as Chair of the CAGP South Saskatchewan Round Table, Regina Bar Association and Canadian Bar Association, of which he is also Past Chair, Taxation, Southern Saskatchewan Section. He has also lent his time and knowledge as Chair of the Regina Area Canada Pension Plan Review Tribunal, Past President and Honorary Solicitor of the Canadian Cancer Society, Saskatchewan Division, Legal Counsel for Scouts Canada, Saskatchewan.
Community Involvement
Allen is President of the United Church Banff Men’s Conference Society, a member of the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation Inc. board of directors, a member and past President of the Regina Rotary Club, President (and French horn player) of the Band-Its Community Band Inc., and Secretary of the Regina Philatelic Club Inc. He has volunteered as a Scout leader, for the boards of the National Cancer Institute and the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, has served as Chair of the Board of Trustees and Official Board of Sunset United Church, and Treasurer of Transition Area Community Society.
