A skilled civil litigator with more than thirty-five years’ experience, Richard is a partner at Robertson Stromberg Pedersen LLP. Richard has extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in matters of banking law, insurance law, bankruptcy and insolvency, professional negligence and malpractice suits.
Education
Richard graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1965 and from the University of Saskatchewan's College of Law in 1967. He was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1968.
Professional Involvement
Richard is a member of the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association and Canadian Bar Association (CBA) and has served as Chairman of the Provincial Branch, Civil Liberties Subsection with the CBA.
Community Involvement
Away from the courtroom, Richard has been an active volunteer locally and provincially and has served as president of board of directors of the Regina YMCA and of the Saskatchewan Arthritis Association.

International Commercial Arbitration relating to the interpretation of insurance contracts and the meaning of “occurrence”.
Represented Bank and Receiver in action relating to the interpretation of the Canadian Specialty Crops Association Rules and “passing of title”.
Represented several defendants in numerous civil actions arising out of the so-called Martensville Sexual Abuse Case.
Represented 82 claimants in an action to recover damages as a result of breach of fiduciary duty by financial advisers.
