Bob is a partner with the firm. Having practiced law in Saskatchewan since 1973, Bob brings over 30 years of experience to his primary areas of practice, employment, labour and administrative law, mediation, and wills and estates. Bob has had extensive experience in employment and labour law initially serving as counsel for both labour and management. Since the early 1990s Bob has been serving as an arbitrator in labour-management disputes in both the public and private sectors. You can check Bob’s availability at  www.arbdates.com. Bob also serves as a mediator or conciliator, helping labour and management resolve grievances and reach new collective bargaining agreements. In non-unionized workplaces, Bob, who is recognized in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory as a leading practitioner in employment law, represents both employers and employees in a broad range of employment matters. He has also served as a mediator in other areas such as organizational disputes, workplace conflicts, estate disputes, personal injury claims and disputes under the Saskatchewan Automobile Accident Insurance Act.

Bob's pratice as an Arbitrator has been augmented by his appointment to be an Adjudicator to hear and determine abuse claims pursuant to the historic Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement.

Bob’s experience in labour and employment law, both as an arbitrator and as counsel, has led to an extensive practice in administrative law and he has  represented and/or appeared before the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board, the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission and Professional Self Governing Associations.

From early in his career when he had the opportunity to work with the late Chris Pedersen, Q.C., Bob has enjoyed working with wills and estates and continues this area of his practice. He regularly prepares wills, powers of attorney, health care directives and assists clients in estate planning and management and handles estate litigation, when necessary.
Education
A graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, Bob received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1971 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1972. He was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1973.
Professional Involvement
Bob’s interest in mediation as a form of dispute resolution is reflected in his membership in Mediation Saskatchewan and his designation as an arbitrator/mediator for Alternative Dispute Resolution in Amateur Sport. He regularly shares his expertise as a lecturer on arbitration, mediation, employment law, human rights, wills, estates and powers of attorney. A member of the Canadian Bar Association, Bob is a past president of the Regina Bar Association, has served as Chair of the Canadian Bar Association’s Labour and Administrative Law Section, Southern Saskatchewan and is a past director of the Public Legal Education Association. Bob received his appointment as Queen’s Counsel from the Province of Saskatchewan in 2000.
Community Involvement
An avid sports enthusiast, Bob has been a director of the University of Regina Rams Football Club since 1979 and is a former club president. Bob served as a director of Sask Sport Inc. from 1998 to 2002 and was its president from 2000 to 2001. Bob continues to be involved in Sask Sport, serving on its Dispute Resolution Committee. Bob’s involvement with Sask Sport was recognized with a Saskatchewan Centennial Leadership Award in 2005. For his work in junior football, Bob was designated the Canadian Junior Football League Executive of the Year in 1998.
